VfL is a charity and is directed by a board of trustees, who work voluntarily.

Company Secretary
Tina Fox
Tina retired from full time work three years ago after 11 years as Chief Executive of the Vegetarian Society UK. Before working for VegSoc, which includes the Cordon Vert Cookery School, Tina’s career was in public administration in senior roles with Liverpool City Council. She is a Director and previous Chair of the International Vegetarian Union, an ex-Trustee and Patron of the Wirral Green Alliance and an ex-Trustee of Vegetarian Housing Association.
Trustees
Peter Lakey – Chair
Peter is a retired businessman with wide commercial experience as a company director. He also chairs Vegetarian Housing Association and is an ex-Chair of the Vegetarian Society UK. He is a Group Board Member and Chair of Group Audit Committee of Flagship Housing, a large social housing and care group in Eastern England, and, over the years, has served in a number of voluntary roles including magistrate and school governor.
David Pye – Treasurer
After 20 years as a research scientist David now works as a self-employed consultant in IT. He has played a major role in setting up a number of companies, including two which have become successful local charities in the Wirral, one specializing in energy efficiency and the other in organic gardening. David is Company Secretary for both charities. He is also a Trustee and ex-Chair of the Vegetarian Society UK and a Director and Treasurer of the International Vegetarian Union.
Diane Moreton
Diane is a former solicitor . After a spell working with disadvantaged women with literacy problems and college lecturing, Diane made a career move into the care field and now manages the Domiciliary Care Department of a Gloucestershire charity for older people, which also runs a nursing home and a dementia care unit.
Amanda Woodvine
Amanda currently works as an editor on public health and clinical guidance. She previously worked in an advisory role in both nutritional and legal environments, including a four-year spell as the Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation’s senior nutritionist. She remains a consultant for the same organisation, and also for a national website specialising in early years’ nutrition.
