Welcome to our new noticeboard section. This section aims to put those who need help and those who are able to provide it together. It is not a service to advertise general vegetarian products or food services but only those specifically related to the older vegetarian and vegan population. All notices must be sent to the VfL Company Secretary admin@vegetarianforlife.org.uk and VfL cannot accept responsibility for those offering or recieving such services.

Care offered
I am an experienced carer living in North Yorkshire currently open to a new client. I have experience living in and providing round the clock care. I can offer vegetarian, vegan or macrobiotic cooking and am happy to cope with other special dietary needs. I enjoy working with the elderly, with children and those needing post surgical care at home.
I love dogs and other animals so pets are no problem at all.
At the moment I still have my youngest son [15] studying in York so would prefer to be working around that area for the next year or two but am open to other possibilities.

Come and live with us
We have room in our lives and our home ( in West Wales, near Carmarthen) for one or two elderly people. We have been mainly vegan for many years and we run a beautiful vegan small holding in rural wales.
For the past ten years we have been foster carers and when our beloved foster child died recently we wondered whether we could “foster” a like minded older person.
Cliff my partner and I believe we have a great deal to offer an older person. We are compassionate and interesting people with a real passion for life. We have home schooled four children (our youngest is 16) and have a fantastic relationship with all our children. (They also like the idea of having a like minded older person living with us)
Our home is a fun and vibrant place, we have an amazing array of board games! We are excellent and enthusiastic cooks, making almost all our food from scratch. We make our own bread, peanut butter and tofu!
We have ground floor accommodation and are experienced carers, our foster son was in a wheelchair.
We are not sure of how this would work logistically, and we are well aware of how bizarre it is either, to pay for or charge for a loving relationship, but that does not mean that it cannot work.

Our noticeboard are not here to promote any political opinion and as a charity we cannot provide a platform for political parties, however closely their policies may be aligned with issues relating to vegetarianism. Private information should remain private. Please don’t send any private or personal information about people you know without asking their permission first.
Unqualified links should not be included. Please don’t just send a link without explaining where this goes, and the sort of content it links to. Anything that goes to websites deemed to be inappropriate (against these guidelines) will not be added.
Content – Promotion, research and advertising
The noticeboard is not a cheap form of advertising. We don’t allow any form of commercial promotion or advertising on this page, including posting a link to your own commercial website. If you offer a suitable service, such as meals on wheels, then you need to join our UK List - free of charge see elsewhere on the site.
Posting style
UPPERCASE – please try not to use this, it looks like you’re shouting and is also difficult to read. Unclear titles – please try to relate your title to the notice you’ve written so people know what to expect.
